Fingers on the scale help no one

Disturbing reporting today from the New York Times regarding the suppression of reports that indicated the Covid vaccine was effective in reducing Covid's effects on those had received the vaccine. Obviously many people during and after the pandemic accused the Biden adminstration of suppressing negative information about the vaccine.

Yet here we are several years later, when peer-reviewed journal articles (the standard for scientific articles) were pulled, apparently because they displeased senior officials in the Department of Health and Human Services and contradicted their agenda. Exactly what they accused the Biden era HHS of doing. If it was wrong in the Biden administration, it is equally wrong in the Trump administration. But don't expect to hear that from either side.
